Can I book a Christmas party at The Dock in Cardiff Bay?
Absolutely. Whether you’re planning the work Christmas do, a festive meal with friends or a bigger group celebration, The Dock offers festive dining, Christmas buffets and drinks packages in the heart of Mermaid Quay.
When is the festive three-course menu available?
Our festive three-course menu is available Monday to Saturday from 12pm, for groups of 8 to 60 guests. On Christmas Eve, festive menu bookings are available between 12pm and 4pm.
Can I book an office or work Christmas party at The Dock?
Yes. The Dock is ideal for office Christmas parties and team celebrations in Cardiff Bay, whether you’re after a sit-down festive meal, a Christmas buffet or drinks with the team. Festive dining is available from 8 guests, with buffet options for larger groups.
Can I book a Christmas party on a Sunday?
Yes. We don’t serve our festive three-course menu on Sundays, but you can still get the group together with one of our Christmas buffet bookings. Sunday buffet bookings are available throughout the festive period, subject to availability.
Do you offer Christmas buffets in Cardiff Bay?
We do. Our Christmas buffets are available for groups of 15 or more and are a great option for office parties, larger groups and more relaxed Christmas celebrations.

Do I need to pay a deposit for a Christmas booking?
Yes. A £10 per person deposit is required to secure festive three-course and Christmas buffet bookings. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your booking.
Do I need to pre-order my Christmas food?
Yes. We’ll need your food choices 14 days before your booking for both our festive three-course menu and Christmas buffets. If anyone in your group has allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know when submitting your choices.
What is the cancellation policy for Christmas bookings?
If you need to cancel your Christmas booking, we require at least 14 days’ notice to issue a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made after this point will result in the deposit being forfeited.
If a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of your reservation, you may also be responsible for the full cost of any food that has already been pre-ordered.
Can you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?
We have vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten options available across our festive menus, including selected dishes that can be adapted on request. Please let us know about any allergies or intolerances when making your booking so our team can advise you.
Will there be live music at The Dock over Christmas?
Yes, there’ll still be plenty happening at The Dock throughout December. We regularly welcome local artists for live music, so keep an eye on our live music schedule to see who’s playing during the festive season.
What are The Dock’s festive opening hours?
Our opening hours change slightly over Christmas and New Year:
Christmas Eve: 10am–7pm
Christmas Day: Closed
Boxing Day: 12pm–1am
New Year’s Eve: 10am–2am
New Year’s Day: 12pm–1am
